Perth City Link
Designed screwpiles to resist flotation of sink structure underneath Horseshoe Bridge in Perth
City Centre. Design constraints included confined headroom, high water table and limited
settlement criteria. Oversaw uplift load testing of installed screwpiles and reported on results.
Lakeside Shopping centre, Joondalup
Carried out site inspections and certification of formwork for the $300 million redevelopment
of the Lakeside shopping centre by Lend Lease.
William’s key skills include:
Geotechnical Design
- Screwpile, bored pile, ground anchor design to AS2159 & AS4100
- Microfine grout injection retaining structures design to AS4678
- Selection of appropriate piling and retention systems given specific
- Ground conditions and site constraints
Structural Design
- Design of steel and concrete structures to AS3600 & AS4100
- Wind load analysis to AS1170.2, in particular “region D” cyclonic areas
- Coordination with drafters to produce structural drawings
